This large, stately breed is best known for the stunning, dark chocolate brown eggs it produces. Black Copper Marans are calm, easygoing birds that do well in all climates and tolerate damp better than many other breeds. The roosters are mild tempered and gentle with their hens.
Black Copper Marans chicks hatch larger than most other large fowl breeds and are supremely hardy. They go from incubator to brooder and start eating immediately. They are gentle and of a nice size to be handled by children. These chicks ship extremely well and mature faster than hatch mates of other breeds.
All of our stock are feather shanked and display proper breed characteristics. Our stock originated from Wade Jeane and Bev Davis lines.
Their size and coloration is truly impressive. They are a pleasure to raise, with a gentle temperament is ideal for family farms and backyard coops.
